Heat and the big rock

Nov. 11 – Uluru up close

We did a couple of the trails around Uluru, walking in the worst heat I've personally ever experienced. It was over 112 F (the 44 C sounds cooler) and we were guzzling water. Marilyn said we should be drinking water at the rate of 12-16 oz. per half hour. The humidity is so low it is difficult to tell when you get dehydrated as sweat evaporates immediately. What a difference from Ohio!!
