Nov. 9 – Cultural Tour
We went on a tour of some of the places sacred to the aborigines and also learned about the plants that were used for food or medicine. This rock art is in a sacred place shared by three tribes and is a marker for the caterpillar tribe. (I hope I have the right tribe!) The art is now protected by law and by a fence. People chipped away pieces of the art for souvenirs and whole sections are gone.
