Tour of the Opera House

Nov. 16 – Opera House Tour

The Opera House is just as stunning inside as out. It has several concert halls and all of them can have something going on at the same time. We could take pictures anywhere except within the concert venues themselves. And we couldn't go into the largest hall because technicians were setting up for a Tori Amos concert. The picture shows the area just above where pre-concert talks are given and shows some of the native woods that have been used inside.




The outside of the Opera House looks like it is just plain white, but close up it is obvious that the entire structure is covered with tiles. These ceramic tiles are self-cleaning and so never need to be scrubbed. Wish my whole house was like that!
